DARREN COGGAN NEW ALBUM RELEASE
"BALANCING ACT"

"Balancing Act", the spirited new album from Golden Guitar winner Darren Coggan marks the welcome return to the Australian Country music scene for this talented singer, songwriter.

Produced by 2002 CMAA record producer of the year, Nash Chambers, "balancing Act" contains twelve powerful songs that are both bold and passionate

"Working with Nash was a lot of fun. i got my start in the music industry with the Chambers family, touring with them as "Dead Ringer Band", so it feels like I've come a full circle to be back working with them again." commented Darren.

The album features a number of special guests including, Russell Smith from USA group 'The Amazing Rhythm Aces' who performs a duet with Darren on the classic "Dancing The Night Away". Kasey Chambers lends her stunning vocals to a song that she found for Darren called "Power Windows". Australia's resident funnyman, Col Elliot tells the tale of an aging man on a song Darren wrote for his grandfather titled 'The Cowboy' and Dobe Newton from 'The Bushwackers' lends his unique talents to a song that is proving quite popular at Darren's shows titles, "The Bush Dance".

The album also includes the moving tribute to the town of Childers, "Spirit Of The Free". This song is about the horrific events that took place there when the back packer hostel 'The Palace' burnt down.

The first single "If I Had My Time Again" has already proven to be a huge hit for Darren and the rest of the album is sure to follow suit.

"I'm really proud of this album, it has been a long time coming but it was worth the wait. I have been a a lot more involved in the production of this album, the choice of songs, the direction i wanted it to take and it all sits very comfortably with me."
