G’day groovers, well our ‘Intimate & Acoustic’ tour of Peace Train- The Cat Stevens story got off to a fine start last weekend in Victoria. First stop was the Lighthouse Theatre in Warrnambool where  the lads on the train (Dean Stephens – lighting and Daniel Murray – Piano) sampled a Guiness or two at the sensational ‘Seanchai’ Irish pub across the road from the theatre. A big day getting the show on it’s feet and a fabulous response from the audience with the delightful sounds of “more, more, more” as we walked off stage.

Onto Geelong the next day to play the wonderful Geelong Performing Arts Centre and the first of our sold out performances on this tour! The intimate design of this venue suited our show beautifully and the response was flattering. It was also great to catch up with my long time friend Jill McLean who was the Bass guitarist in my first band ‘The Typhoons” back in Wagga Wagga when we where teenages. It had been 10 years or so since we had seen each other and it was wonderful to see her again, looking so happy!

Next stop is Wangaratta (Oct 18), Ballarat (Oct 19) and Colac (Oct 20) - toot toot!
