Peace Train ‘Intimate & Acoustic’ Regional Tour

on October 8, 2013. Posted in General News, Gigs, Peace Train

G’day groovers, I’m really looking forward to embarking on our ‘intimate & acoustic’ tour of Peace Train this weekend. The first leg of the tour kicks off in Victoria at the Lighthouse Theatre in Warrnabool then onto Geelong ,Wangaratta, Ballarat, Colac, Queanbeyan, Griffith, Wollongong, Bathurst, Cessnock, Tamworth, Lismore and concludes in Byron Bay on Nov 23. 2014 sees us back on the road in February to Dubbo, my hometown of Wagga Wagga, Gosford, Port Macquarie, Bendigo, Mildura, Weribee and Warragul. We are also planning to hit Queensland, Darwin, Alice Springs, WA, SA and Tassie next year!

It’s been a wonderful journey touring Australia with this show and whilst it’s always a thrill to be surrounded by great musicians on stage, I have always envisaged presenting Peace Train in a more intimate setting. The singer-songwriter genre and particularly the music of Cat Stevens, lends itself beautifully to an acoustic setting. It’s good to go back to the well and hear the songs as theywere originally written, on just an acoustic guitar and piano.

I look forward to keeping in touch with you throughout this very special tour and indeed hope to see you at some of the shows. Check out the gig guide for the tour dates. Peace!
